HUUD is a new vision for urban space between Telliskivi, Ristiku and Mulla streets – a former back yard transformed into an open and vibrant urban park. The heart of the quarter is a city square planned at the intersection of Telliskivi and Ristiku, continuing as a pedestrian promenade that runs between the buildings. Gradually increasing greenery turns the square into a cosy park where public space blends seamlessly with the green courtyard areas into a unified whole.

The street level is active and people-focused: ground-floor commercial spaces, cafés and shops open directly onto the square and light-traffic routes, keeping the area lively throughout the day. Smaller plazas, play areas and resting spots between the buildings create space both for children’s play and for quiet relaxation.

Traffic is designed from the perspective of pedestrians and cyclists – priority is given to soft mobility, and parking is placed underground to leave the ground level to people and greenery. Varied building types and human-scale streetscapes bring living, working and leisure together into one coherent quarter that continues the natural urban life of the Telliskivi area in a new quality.
